Foundational Beliefs

Foundational Beliefs

It comes to mind that I have not explained the foundational beliefs of what I am calling Blind Lemur Conservatism. That needs to change. The ideas of what is or is not conservative have become, at best, muddied over the years. And that harms the movement, and aids the opposition.

We need to first define conservatism, in the sense I believe in. This isn’t going to be the conservatism of the Republicans or Libertarians, this is what I believe matters in the context of the modern world.

Conservative foundational beliefs include:

  • Absolute freedom of speech.
  • Small Government – the smaller the better. In almost all cases, the private sector can do things better than the government, and should do them.
  • Absolute freedom of religion – this must include freedom from religion as well, and total separation of religion and state.
  • No Governmental Interference – the government should stay out of my life unless or until compelled to by a specific set of actions.
  • Absolute freedom of association – this must include disassociation as well.
  • Individual Liberty – the citizen is the foundation of the state, and until or unless they interfere with the rights of others, the state should respect their right to do as they will.
  • The right to defend yourself as needed – this covers bearing arms, which is needed for a free society.
  • Absolute freedom to enter into civil unions with any number of consenting adults – the state should not be in the business of defining family.

The Simulation Is Breaking Down

The problem with not doing this as a full-time thing (or with a collection of co-bloggers to pick up slack) is that sometimes reality is so far out of alignment that it takes too long to synthesize a post. By the time it’s ready, some other nonsense has happened, and it’s time to start over.

Look at the past few days….

And Now The Coverup

So the Cook County prosecutor is trying to back up their fabrication from yesterday – that Jussie Smollett didn’t get special treatment.

CBS Chicago has an internal memo requesting staffers find examples of cases handled similarly to Smollett. The reason for this is that they spun a story where having the charges dropped, your files sealed, and everything put back to zero is somehow normal. It isn’t.

This is just another example of the fix being in for someone who has political connections. For reasons no one is totally sure of, Smollett had Michelle Obama’s former Chief of staff interfering with the investigation on his behalf. That interference led to Cook county prosecutor Kim Foxx recusing herself from the case, and the prosecutor’s office eventually dropping all charges in return for the forfeiture of a $10,000 Bond, and a whopping 16 hours of community service. Sources report that this community service was served into two hour chunks, at Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Push coalition, and consisted of signing autographs and talking to fans about being an actor.

Needless to say everybody else that has a case pending in Cook county wishes they had jussie Smollett’s connections, and could serve his kind of community service. The reality here is, Kim Fox has somehow managed to become a symbol of and unfair justice system, and the prevalence of influence peddling in Chicago in the course of a single day.

Hate Crime Hoaxes No Longer Illegal In Chicago

Hate Crime Hoaxes No Longer Illegal In Chicago

The Cook County State’s Attorney has dropped all charges, and sealed the records of Jussie Smollett. He, in return, completed, allegedly, 16 hours of community service and forfeited his $10,000 bond.

The fix is in, folks.

It is incredibly important to note that the prosecutors did not dispute the facts in the case, they just dropped the charges, expunged the record, and sealed it all away. This is beyond a miscarriage of justice. Smollett has never stopped lying about the attack, and we can only conclude that he would have continued to do so in a trial, potentially leading to a conviction for an innocent person.

What has yet come to light is Kim Foxx’s level of corruption involvement in this decision. Which, one suspects, is total. Foxx attempted to interfere in the case on behalf of Tina Tchen, former chief of staff for former First Lady Michelle Obama. Why Ms. Tchen was involved at all is anyone’s guess, of course. But then, in a move considered unusual and even inexplicable at the time, Foxx recused herself from the case. This was when it was still an actual hate crime against Smollett, as opposed to by Smollett.

Kim Foxx – Anti-Law?

Even worse, for Chicago, is that Foxx has now cemented her position as an anti-cop and anti-law ‘prosecutor’. For those who came in late, Cook County elected Kim Foxx as a direct result of the handling of the Laquan McDonald case. Which many cops viewed as a justified or justifiable shooting (my opinion is that it might have been, but he went way too far in the shooting). Foxx charged the officer, Jason Van Dyke, with 16 counts of aggravated battery, two counts of first degree murder (with four additional counts of first degree murder dropped pre-trial). Each round fired resulted in one battery charge. He was then charged under 6 different flavors of first degree murder. This is, correctly, considered overkill.

Now, she is on the record as doubting the CPD’s ability to investigate the Smollett case, and then tossing it out despite a Grand Jury finding, and the testimony of the actual attackers!

When the prosecutor’s office is so clearly antagonistic to the police, the police have a history (not just Chicago, this is fairly universal) of tossing their hands in the air, and just looking the other way.

The center cannot hold indeed.

No Collusion.

No Collusion.

Clinton irony

Oh, Hillary, the irony is so rich. You and yours couldn’t accept the election, and refused to do so. As a result, we got nearly three years of an investigation of false claims your camp faked up to overthrow the President. And now, the report is out…no collusion of any kind, by anyone.

Which is a shock to literally no one. No one except the members of the mainstream media, never-Trump 5th column, and every leftist on social media. So, no one who thought it all out.

Like I said about Jussie Smollett’s absurd claims, in order to have believed this, you needed to set aside reason and logic. Which the American left did, en masse, because they couldn’t accept losing. We try to teach kids to be gracious in victory and accepting in defeat. I guess it didn’t stick for these kids.

Now, it is time to do two things:

  • Release the unredacted report. And then declassify everything related to the report. Show the sources, let everyone know what happened.
  • Then prosecute everyone who lied to Congress.

Why? The end goal of the entire investigation was nothing less than the overthrow of the lawfully elected President of the United States. You could construe that as treason.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

While no war was waged, the government has determined that the Russian government did seek to undermine the government, and the collusion narrative generated post-election by a Clinton campaign who could not accept their loss aided in that effort. I am not a lawyer, and my lawyer friends are all pretty far-left, so they would explain in detail how that isn’t treason. It seems to me that may be for the courts to decide.

Yes, that will be a mistake. Treason prosecutions would serve to make the brutal animosity we have been dealing with since the Clinton impeachment worse. It may, however, be worth the problems.

Until now, there has been literally no consequence for lying to Congress, misleading and deceiving (in conspiracy no less) the American people, or any other action on the list of liberal sins. That must end. When they collude and push lies in order to destroy people, there must be a reckoning. Now, there is a conspiracy, as evidenced in print and online, to overthrow the President. Mr President, you must act to ensure this never happens again.

America is not a place where journalists face actual risk. Despite their claims to the contrary, they are safe here. That safety must include the ability to criticize the government, and publish stories that the government might want left alone. And that must never change. What we have seen in the Meuller affair is neither of those. This was the pushing of a known-false narrative, willfully misleading their readers (possible class action suit there – defrauding their readers by propagating fake news?), and giving aid to an enemy in their attempts to destabilize the US.

Hold them accountable.

Charles Kinsey before being shot by officer Jonathan Aledda

I first wrote about this in 2016. In that article, I asked what the hell was wrong with the North Miami Police Department.

Now, the jury in the trial of North Miami PD officer Jonathan Aledda has declared itself hung on the counts of attempted manslaughter for shooting unarmed therapist Charles Kinsey.

Mr. Kinsey is the one laying down with his hands up.

Jonathan Aledda should be fired and retried.
